Yeah, I'm a little obsessed.
I picked up three new American Fenders in the last week. Two Stratocasters and a Telecaster. ALL play and sound incredible. Perfect. I do, however, have a new Suhr Aldrich going in the white one and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues going in the red one. That Fender Candy Cola is beautiful. The Telecaster is stock for now. May put something else in the bridge. Suggestions?
Anyway, I'm stoked!
I also got a new Sourmash headshell for my JTM45. Very nice!

should go for the power Quattro  :D
Nice, looks like the red fender I use to have. Some great looking guitars

Thanks! Can't wait to get the Aldrich in. I'm covering some bases!

And here I was feeling guilty looking at Teles today!

One of my fondest musical memories in my entire life was in the late 80's at a big club in Detroit. This band was fairly big (can't remember the name now) and there were 6 full Marshall stacks on stage. Big drums. Lights Couple Ampeg 8x10 stacks. Trio with a singer.

The guy walks out with a black Tele plugged into the Marshalls. Hits the opening chords to Ziggy Stardust. I fell off my chair (could have been the shots). Anyway I'll never forget that 1st G chord. It was rock n roll.

Morale to the story. Don't feel guilty. Buy two or three Tele's then feel guilty.

I have been contemplating whether or not to ship this Tuttle 60's Tele over. I am not a huge Tele sort of player, but this one looks incredible. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks very, very inviting to play. A good Tele is always predictable and true.

I had it on ebay last week for $1950 with a BIN price of $2300, which was an embarrassingly low price for a hand made guitar of this caliber. New, they sell for $3300. 80 views, 12 watchers, loads of emails and not one of the fucking tight asses bought it. So, I relisted it for a month and raised the price. Already got a couple of emails about, "why did you raise the price?". My reply, "because you are a dumb shit for not buying it in the first place and trying to save $50". The price went up.      I don't care if it sells or not.

If you like mucking around with Tele PU's, try one of the Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers in the bridge. They are a drop in replacement for the stock single coil and have a really nice tone. Great through the higher gain Marshall's too. Nice and smooth without a lot of added gain.

I had serial #5 of this guitar built by John Bolin about 4 years ago. Still got it and use it for my Tele fix. It has a hollowed out body and hollow neck. The guitar weighs about 3lb, sopping wet....including the hand-rolled.

And, here's one you won't see on the street every day....

Oh man. That's beautiful. I don't sell equip. to make money that's for sure, but I also don't sell them to lose money. Keep it!

Those are very cool. I just can't get on with those big baseball bat necks they put on those things. At lease the production models.

From one big Fender fan to another, happy new Fender guitar day.

HNGD! That candy cola color is nice.
I've had good results in the past with a SD Broadcaster pickup in the bridge
of a tele. That and a good PAF type in the neck position goes a long way.
