PowerAmp + Cab or FRFR + IR Loader?

I currently run a Palmer Macht 402 into a custom 2 x 12 at home which sounds great.

However I'd really like to get an FRFR speaker to use live with my Fractal for stage volume/monitoring, since it will cut out the need for a heavy cab and power amp.

Question 1:
If I was to go this route, could I just put an IR loader between my guitar pre-amps and the FRFR Speaker for home use?

Question 2:
I see two inputs on most units but only 1 speaker. How does this deal with stereo delays etc? Is it muxxed together into mono?

Thanks!

Don't know what Fractal product you're using, but pretty sure the amp modellers all have IRs and IR loading built in.

A FRFR or PA speaker is mono. Besides, you don't need stereo on stage unless it's a huge stage. Even then, you'd probably barely notice. Keep it simple.

My home preamps are ADA MP-, JMP etc hence the need for an IR box.

Been running stereo for many years, and I defo wont be swapping my ping-pong delays, tri-choruses, acoustic sims, certain reverbs, stereo shaper, etc to mono effects haha. So it's just a case of monitoring it on stage. Carrying around 2 x FRFRs might be overkill. Do the two inputs blend to mono?

you should take a look a this from Two Notes

I think it will nail down what you are looking to achieve and it is $180 on reverb right now

I don't know which FRFR cabs you are looking at. Usually (almost always?) if only two jacks are on the cab then they are wired in parallel. It's a mono arrangement.
