Have always just had most of my pedals at 9 volts....... but I remember the Bearfoot can take 9-15 volts and the CIOKS can switch between 9-12-15-18 volts.
****This goes wihout saying but in either case don't switch or change voltages on your pedals unless they are rated to handle the higher voltages and the manufacturer says you can, always use correct current/polarity etc etc and wires and don't daisy chain while switching volts from the same ISO to make sure you don't accidentally fry other pedals that may not handle the higher voltages.****
Messing with it more I feel all the modes feel different and act sort of like a soft "Global EQ" and affect the mid and output in subtle ways especially the attack and response overall.
Having said that without sniffing more cork...... really like it in 12 volt setting ^_^
Not really for any particular reason that it gives a good amount of compression that 9 volt offers and a more loose/relaxed sound the 15 volt offers. Also notice as I change voltage higher the 7th ISO gets slightly brighter and the Blue LED on the Bearfoot does as well, not a whole bunch but very noticeable either way. You can kind of notice it on the PSU as the 7th ISOs LED is a brighter than the rest.
What exactly does changing voltage do? I feel a tad more headroom and note seperation and slightly smoother bass handling. The gain feels a bit lower as compression gets shaved off a bit but overall it's a bit more articulate as a trade off and the bass relaxes some too with more relaxed highs.
Anyone else mess around with their voltages and have a preference on some pedals over standard 9 volt DC?
