Thinking about something I can plug headphones into while in the couch….whats everybody’s go-to? Is the Mooer stuff good? Yamaha THR?

Yamaha thr is solid for distortion. Fun lil amp. The 2x4 Fender Mustang for cleans is amazing. Just recently got a whole Kemper set up. So migrated over to that for couch potato jamming.

I’ve had a Nux Mighty amp for a while and dig it. Plus it comes with a wireless transmitter for your guitar. I got a used one off GC.

1. Modeler. I like the kemper, but axe, quad, they all sound good

2. Joyo Bantamp. Has headphone output, sounds good.

Otherwise, get a loadbox or IR loader of some kind and use your big amps.

Just saw the new mooer thingy and really dig it. I have a pv vyper and it is excellent. If you use a laptop and download the edit software. If you are navigating with just the amp…fuck that….

I always wanted to buy a peavey vypyr pro for fun. I played a vipII once and it was a cool little amp

I have a Positive Grid Neo that I use for just quiet playing, everything is wireless and fits in my mono case, and it connects to my phone or laptop or whatever. Audio quality is really good and they are pretty comfortable to wear.

I actually think mine is a vyper 3? I would get the model with Bluetooth. That would simplify the fuck out of it. And of course running it through a 4x12….

I bet it is a cool amp. The rare times i play quiet, i use neural on the computer. The sound is pretty decent

Check out the Hotone Ampero II for modelers; also plays NAM files, and does amp capture, The Stage is $699.99 new. I'm considering one, if I decide to sell my Helix Floor.

For amps, I like my DSL40CR and Origin 50; the low power settings are different, but both work well

I bought a new laptop but it sucks. Nam didn’t work well for me. Stl tones is pretty killer though…..

I have the Yamaha THR30. Great for practice and you can Bluetooth Youtube in for learning songs, backing tracks ect. There maybe some cheaper options now like the Katana air or the TC Spark and stuff like that. The Yamaha sounds great though. Nice wide stereo spread. Also have the Blackstar Fly 3 that sounds good for cheap.

If you have a choice the Vypyr Tube 60 or 120 is the one you want. Sounds much better than the SS ones, just replace the speaker in the combo. I turned my combo into a head.

For headphones use, get something small such as a ToneX One or similar device.
^This. Tonex One FTW.
Runs off of a USB-C charger. Super small. Profile your regular amp and add a few effects to make it more fun. They also drive higher impedance headphones pretty well too.

I tried a spark and a friedman irx as practice headphone amps.

Honestly both are good. I use the spark more because it travels really well.

Fryette GPDI IR 1 watt into a Eminence AR75 in a Memphis combo or 4x12 cab. If headphones ToneX.
