Preamp Tubes for COD

What is everyone using? Im thinking Tung Sols will probably be bomb in there.

Im currently using Tung-Sols in mine now and they sound great, but honestly, you could stick a handful of dirt in the sockets of these things and they would still rock.

Matt,did you have a chance to do a comparison between the two CODs with different tubes???

Not really because they sound sightly different with the SAME tubes.

Those Tung sol 12AX7s are getting pretty consistent rave reviews. I like them in my Fender Blues Deluxe; good combo of fatness and clarity.
