Just got the Pedaltrain Pro for my board that'll go with my rack. Here are some pics:

The thing in the upper right is simply an interface. For the time being, I'm testing out the tuner on the G-major 2. It works for bedroom stuff, but I need to see how it'll work on the stage in various lighting situations. If it's too much of a pain, I'll modify the interface and add either a Turbo Tuner or Polytune somewhere. My StroboStomp doesn't fit nicely, so I might just use that for intonation or something.

HUGE thanks to Kyle @ Rhodes Amplification for getting this for me. He talked me into it, and I'm glad he did. The Pedaltrain is great, and he got me an amazing price on this. If you need anything Pedaltrain related, contact him.

Edit: Added my tuner

Nice, I'm saving up for a GCP for my modded gcx. I already have the pedal train, they are awesome boards!

Pretty much the same as the one I am putting together.

Cool! That will be a sick setup. How will you provide switching for all those Bugera heads though?

Thanks guys. Switching the Bugera heads will be done via hand selected garden gnomes that I spent the past 4 years collecting. The first one I chose got away and started doing Travelocity commercials, so I keep them in a special holding cell in the mean time.

Nice. Gnome-switching is the preferred method according to the pros. Seriously though, I've been wanting to get a setup like that for a long time.

FWIW G-majors dont fathom too well in sunlight. i owned one for years, they work excellent in low light situations though.

i highly recommend the turbo tuner Tom, get the pedal one if you can - you wont shit a brick if you accidentally drop it like the other turbo tuner model made out of plastic :D

no doubt my rack is going to look very simillar to this when its done

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely take that into consideration. I'd love to see pics of your rack once you get everything setup. I plan on posting one more set of pictures in a few weeks once everything is completely buttoned up.

np problem on the heads up.

the biggest hurdles i have right now are deciding on whether i want an 8, 10, or 12 space rack to start putting it together, and waiting on what RJM releases as a MIDI switching unit to compare with a mark L unit.

mine is a long way away, but simple

you should get a 12 space rack. I started out with an 8 space rack, it was good, then I wished I had more spaces, so I got a 10, now I wish I had even more spaces so I may get a 12 space rack, or just take one of the preamps out, and hold it in a two space rack to have the option to bring it or not.

So far everyone has told me this, but the rack weights i have seen for a plywood 12 space rack from the companies i have researched are at least 103 lbs unloaded. im 5'11" and skinny as a damn rail - i would barely be able to carry the damn thing empty, let alone loaded  :aww:

i looked into polypropylene cases but im allergic to that plastic (used to work in a fabric company that used it for microfibre's which when inhaled over a period of time put me in the hospital)

im thinking i might just need to go with the 8. no preamps, no poweramps, simply pedals and effects and a MIDI switching unit of some sort

Thanks for the help though, and sorry to hijack your thread Tom, what chains work best for weight saving and durability when using live gnome switching :D

The rack case I got did not weight nearly as much as they said. I didn't get a shock mount case so I'm not sure how much those weigh. It is hard to lift some of those rack case's because of handle placement, but hey, I'm only 5'4

I have a 12 space rack on the way and im going from a 6 space. Im only actually going to use 8 spaces out of it and just put a 4 space drawer at the bottom, but i know somewhere down the line im gonna want to throw something in those extra 4 spaces hence getting the haha. Also i wouldnt recommend relying on the g majors tuner if you'll be doing any outdoor day shows. I have a pitchblack tuner that im getting rid of right now actually and im gonna swap it out for the new Boss TU3. Thought about going the turbo tuner route but i just cant gel with those circular strobe tuners.

Thanks again for the tuner suggestion. I just added my StroboStomp in the upper right. It just barely fits, but it seems like it might be a slight challenge to press unless the wah is down. I'll try it out for a few days before ultimately deciding what to do.

I like my PT Pro, have the PP+ mounted under it and have most pedals run to a loopmaster 5 position with tuner out and bypass. I have to take a pic and do a quick vid even though fx seems to be an ugly topic for some here, my board is a supersoaker

Looks great Tom.

With my tuner. Like I said, it just barely fits:

Nothing is held down yet, so I'll straighten out the wah and whatnot once I go to to permanently mount them.
