SLO for the win but I honestly didn't like the tone from most of them, didn't really care of the dude running it, talks too much and for god sake if you do an amp demo can you tune the damn guitar?

I have a chance to pick up a Street Rod. Is it the same as the Quick Rod just lower volume?

Essentially marshall style amps and I hate what he did with the ressonance control on the nitro. It's a recipe for boom city in the circuit. I don't know what the owners think...Their power amp is supposed to be the same, marshall power amp. Medium quality build according to SLOclone forum. Also they don't like what he kind of does castrating the treble response at some points in the circuit. Maybe to focus the sound? Plate fed tonestack a-la 5150, mesa mark for the nitro also means a different compressed behaviour (thicker sound) while still retaining eq control, though not exactly "dynamic". Very good price/performance ratio, excellent transformers (heyboyer) etc.

I wish they were available in europe more easily but if I lived in USA it'd be a great choice to have/try.
