Came across this guitar amp - Eruption. It looks like a very interesting concept: single-ended with power-triode 833C. 6 channels, 5 effects loops and 2 boosts in 2 of the channels.

Does anyone knows something about this amp such as availability and price?
Wrote them an email but got no answer still.....

That's really interesting. One big f-ing tube, usually a hi-fi stereo tube. Need clips.

damn, das Germans are really whippin their dicks out on this one eh?

Looks like the meathead and FBM got it on and squatted out one big bastard of a baby.

Whenever I see something like this I'm happy that people are pushing the boundaries of what can be done with tube amplification but it also makes me worry about the availability/ cost effectiveness of using a weird/ non mainstream tube.

How readily available is a 833c tube now and how available will they be in the future if this takes off?

These are questions that you need to ask yourself when designing something like this but I guess they have it worked out!

Well it's not like their "pushing boundaries" their just giving it "bigger tits." The technology is the same and it's just another tube type.

As for replacement, well they only have it @100 watts which is low for this tube so I don't think longevity is an issue.

There's actually plenty of them around.

That's different
At first glance, i was like "cool lights", then quickly realized that would be fleeting...those flashing red lights would be uber-annoying after a few hours.
