Price check: ESP DV8 Kiso Custom Shop

Hey all,

Trying to get some funds together for a large purchase. I have a black ESP DV8 from the Kiso factory. My understanding is there are not many DV8 guitars in general as mustaine was only with ESP for 2-3 years before heading to Dean. Additionally there are even fewer from Kiso. Just thought I would try and get an accurate price check on it. Thanks!
 
That's a tough one as there's not a huge demand for it & asks are all over the place. For any minty clean Kiso build I'd start at $3500, and possibly up as high as $5500 if you find the right collector since it's a sig model.
 
I would assume they were all made at the Kiso factory given they weren't custom order and fall into the set neck/neckthrough.
$4-5k?
 
I know guy that'll do a V7 mod on that guitar and enlighten the shit out of it!!
 
I havent seen any recent sales, but the last couple years ive seen a few sell for 4 to 5k.
I had one many years ago and it was a great sounding and playing guitar.

Good point. I saw another one after mustaine left which is a modified version of the model (same shape, headstock, no control plate, no 8 ball, no artist signature) and it was a SS and thought from the back it was a regular DV8
