1) it's a buyer's market right now, not sellers.
2) those amps can be hard to replace.
I had a Jubilee head, sold it to blackba here on the board, missed it, finally found another - it's the '2/3rds stack' - I have the head and a pair of 2x12 cabs. I don't play through it very often, but it would be hard to replace and it's just going to be worth more money later on.
Plus it looks cool as hell!

Hey Pete, do you find it falls flat, even with EMG's? Thats why I let mine go.

I'm not a fan of the stock 2x12s - into a good cab, the amp comes alive. In comparison with a JCM800 2205, I give the edge to the jube playing the same cab. Since I got the '72 SL, both amps kinda sound like shit in direct comparison.

Its hard to beat an old Marshall like a '72 Super lead. That said, I don't find my 2553 sounds flat at all. As far as the matching 212 cabs, I just replaced the back on mine with a new 5/8" plywood back, it made a nice difference. I also have WGS ET-65's in my cab, which are nice speakers. But I do prefer my home built version of the Marshall 1936 212. I switched the speakers from that cab, so it was easy to do a comparison.
