I suppose this would apply to other FX units besides the GSP1101 as well.
My Mesa 50/50 rack has "Input A" and "Input B" as well as an "Output 1" and "Output 2"
I have a 2x12 stereo cab.
My goal: Run my amp in 'stereo' to my 2x12 so that when I use 2 microphones (one on left speaker, and one on the right speaker), I'm able to ask the FOH to pan each L/R to get a wide stereo effect with my delay/flange/etc. No different than 1000's of guys in the past.
My setup: ADA MP1 -> Input of GSP1101 -> L/R line out to "Input A" and "Input B" of my Mesa 50/50 -> Out1 and Out2 to my 2x12 wired in stereo
The problem: I'm not getting any stereo effects out of my cab. For instance, I have a 'panner' effect in the GSP1101 that is supposed to gradually pan the signal from left/right, however on my amp it'll push sound do one speaker, but then when panning to the opposite speaker it just goes silent, then back.
Am I mistaken that I do not have a proper 'stereo' rig? I do I need TWO amps? I thought with a Stereo amp I wouldn't need 2 amps to achieve this?
Any help would be appreciated!!!
