A friend of mine just bought a Renegade and TM212 based on my recommendation. He really likes it but it has developed a problem. He says the the reverb snaps every once in a while. He's only had it a week. Kinda like a static discharge. Doesn't happen with the reverb off. Any ideas? I suspect maybe a tube.

Any one know the tube layout? V1-V6. Which is which?

Tube, most likely.

I am surprised about something. The Tourmaster manual has the tube layout quite clear in there. Doesn't the Renegade manual? I often refer to the manual for the Tourmaster. I sometimes think nobody on this forum looks at the manuals.

They are available on the website: http://www.egnateramps.com

Please descirbe your problem is more detail.
What do mean by "the reverb snaps"?
Do you mean you hear a snap noise and it has reverb with it?
Both channels do it?
Does it make the snap noise even with the reverb level off?
How often does it happen?
Sorry but will need the answers to help narrow down the cause.
Thanks
Bruce

my technical knowledge tells me its not the pan-because
"it aint gots one"

I talked more at length with my friend after I posted. He neglected to tell me he was using a wireless. I told him to check that out first. He played me a recording of the noise and it didn't sound tube related. I think it's his wireless and not the amp at all.

He still wants a run down on what tube does what regarding the ax7s.
