Looking for a switching system similar to a GigRig R2. I have 2 Eventide H9's, and may be adding the Strymon Big Sky to my board. I have been looking for an expression pedal that can control 3 separate pedal, and do MIDI. I found the Source Audio 163 which seems like it will do the job. I also have a Suhr Hedgehog 50 head which is MIDI capable. Looking for advice on what switching systems might give me the capability to program patches and control all my MIDI devices, plus afford me the ability to run a stereo rig. I'm assuming running my KOT and other pedals in front of the amp through the switcher, while the delays and verbs that are stereo would use the effects loops. How does that work?

Agreed, ES-8 is awesome for pedals or midi switching...

Do you have any idea of what the differences are between the Boss ES8, and the pricey GigRig R2 system? It is literally half the price, which is obviously great if it does pretty much everything the R2 does.

I've got the GCX and ground control pro. Very nice stuff. It's been many years since I set this up as at the time I was running 2 preamps (ADA and Marshall JMP-1) and wanted to switch between the 2 and use the same power amp and rack effects. Was a stereo setup even though the ADA was mono and it worked very well.

I'm in the process of redoing this as I'm using some pedals now and one single amp (Friedman BE-100). Cool thing is it's MIDI but also loop switching and will be able to replace the Friedman foot switch for channels, etc.
