Great idea. It can only get better...

Wonder if they'll ever do it with pickups. Use the same guitar but do several clips each with a different pickup. KInd of a demo it live version of Duncan's sound bites.

Got my cable in the mail a couple of days ago and am gonna try it out this weekend. Love the idea, well see how well it does. And I love the idea of trying out pickups this way as mentioned above!

..........so its a cable to play their DIs through your stuff?

It didnt cost me anything and I didnt order it either, they just sent it to me? I think it was complimentary to past customers. Im sure theyd ship one out if you requested it.

Heck, I just like the idea of playing the iphone through my amp and cab. Now it's a party.

That's funny, my buddy and I were talking about doing this off of my presonus interface so he could hear my pedals (we have the same amp) but I didn't know how to actually go about doing it...

Pretty cool. Gonna check out some fuzz boxes.

I just spent awhile trying it out. It def works but I found the it very hard to tell between different pedals. All the ODs I tried all sounded the same.

Good idea though

I just got my adapter in the mail and a free pack of Dunlop strings. Gonna try it out.

I wouldn't think you'd get anything useful from the distortion drives or boost...
There's no level boosting!

Maybe for efx..

Not sure how they deal with compression and setting a pedal at unity is not how I use most pedals. Not sure what it would really tell you. I think this could hurt sales as much as help. Really I think their videos would tell me more. Great idea, but seems kind of gimmicky.

Would be cool to try a pedal you already have set at unity and then this to establish a base line.

It would be cool if it was interactive, like if they had a pedal on their site you could adjust and then it would send a new clip based on how you set it.

Ha! You just revealed the secret of "booteek" dirt boxes. 99% of them sound almost the same. ;)

Yeah they need to make an app for the iphone that you can load up pedals with their prerecorded clips and let you adjust the settings on the pedals in real time form your phone. Kinda like loading a digitech iStomp directly into your amp. That would be pretty cool. All in all its a nice step in cool direction for future demo work.
