Proof the Earth is round

According to the flat earth types there is an ice wall that ball earthers call the south pole. Conspiracy further fueled by disallowing private exploration of that region, at least, to my knowledge.
Yeah well you can see the south celestial pole in the sky and see it rotates around the centre of it in the south as well.

Magellan's ship sailed around it centuries ago... just for starters.

It's silent on it. They didn't know back then. Where are the verses on the USA and Australia. Plainly you don't exist.
The earth yes ? Not the edge ? Or the alleged edge ?

Well you aren't a flat earther. What about traveling around the earth along the equater. If it wasn't a sphere that wouldn't be possible ?

That doesn't mean earth is a ball, it just means the south celestial pole rotates around a center point. You make extrapolations that are not of guaranteed accuracy.

The best evidence I can give you is your own senses. You can't see any curvature and you can't feel any spinning. You can't find curved water. You can't see or detect gravity. In other words, there is nothing about the world we live in that your senses would lead you to believe that we live on a spinning ball. But humans have been observing the bodies in the sky and theorizing about what they are and why they act as they do for all of history, which have given rise to the ball earth idea, among others. In other words, it is an entirely intellectual endeavor. But you take this for granted because you have seen pictures and the people that you have trusted tell you it is so.
There is also nothing about this world we live in that your senses would lead you to believe there are spirits and higher powers. God.

As far as curvature - we can see roughly 6 miles in any direction (in the flats of South Dakota for example). If I climb a 100 ft tower, I can see much further. If I drop my pencil on the floor am I not witnessing gravity?

Water is curved naturally. It is H2O right? It seeks the lowest point at all times (due to gravity).

Why? As I said, for money and power, like every deception. And to break your confidence in yourself. Von can tell you more about this, but there are ways that people can be psychologically groomed to just listen and obey, and I think this is one of them.
I've heard money and power before but can you give me some examples?

It has shifted before . It will again. I don't even see a possible way you can go around the earth traveling in one direction without it being a sphere. It's physically impossible.
I guess one option is that you're not actually moving in a straight line. And for that matter, you can't move in a straight line on the surface of a sphere.

I can draw a smaller circle in the middle of a larger circle and follow that path and "circumnavigate" a flat or convex/concave circle.

I learned in geometry there is no such thing as a straight line. Was I told wrong?

Which is why flight patterns are often curved. i.e. the shortest distance between two points on a sphere

This argument and Acceptance's argument above it prove my point. It's convex. That's a sphere dude. No matter how many circles you draw there is no point on earth where you hit a wall and the earth stops. And if there was one on the poles, there would also have to be one everywhere else.
