Protone Overdrive new Keith Merrow signature

I'm in the market for a new overdrive to add some saturation to my Splawn Nitro and came across those new Protone Keith Merrow overdrives

I already own a BB preamp which I absolutely love for soloing but I think it's lacking some of the warm mid rhythm tone I was getting with my OD-808 (I sold it because it wasn't transparent enough)

Anyone tried one ?
it's supposed to be a tweaked version of their Dead Horse overdrive which are based on Keeley Modified TS-9 (according to some forum fellows)

Can you enlighten me ?

I've just emailed protone and ask them about the "tweaks" they've made on this one versus the dead horse versiob
