The proof of the pudding.
This amp really is one of the favourite small amps I've owned. It sounds incredibly mean, and while a bit boxy, you can connect to a 2x12 or 4x12 and get a good stage volume in this era of silent stages
It's also really portable, as far as an all-in-solution goes, and was Made In America in case folks are picky about that stuff.
In terms of loudness, it is just a bit quieter than the Archon 50 combo I used to own, so much so I let that one go even though it had more headroom. In my opinion, it's the 5881s in the 25-watter that make it sound much angrier and mean than the 50.
As for this mic: I'm on a real limited budget these days, and this was all I could afford while I try to get life issues out of the way (don't worry, I'm doing fine in terms of mental and physical health, a real champ in that regard all things considered).
I hope you find the track and recording good, otherwise this will all have been for nought. Play it on a nice headphone amp or your monitors!
