I grabbed a PRS NF3 at the 2012 PRS Experience. I am a big fan of the Narrowfield pickups - they really capture the vibe of a single coil without the hum and with a bit more heft. With the guitar volume wide open they're in P-90 territory. Back off the volume to about 8.5 and you're in Fender territory. If you A/B a NF guitar with a Strat or P-90 Gibson it will be obvious difference but the vibe is still there - particularly how the guitar sits in the mix.
I already have a Swamp Ash Special with three Narrowfields and was interested in trying the Korina out and a different fingerboard. The NF3 sounds great but it wasn't going to displace the Swamp Ash Special. So I decided to sent the NF3 to the PRS Tech Center for some changes. I had them install a Floyd and switch the pickup config from 3 NF pickups to a 5909 humbucker in the bridge and an NF in the neck - sort of my take on a lot of the old Charvels that had a H-S pickup config. I think they did a great job - it's shipping back to me today. I'll post more when I get it in my hands.

And some progress pictures that the PTC folks sent me along the way:
