Anyone ever play one of these? I saw these a few times and never thought much of them, looked pretty ugly and figured it was just another experimental PRS model aimed at in between bucker and single coil tones. I thought it may have been a cheaper overseas model until i saw the price.

Anyway, I went to try an amp and one of these happened to be close by so I picked it up. I was really surprised at the neck. It's probably the best PRS neck I've ever played. It was maple neck and board and it had a raw unfinished feel. Really comfy and playable. I still think the rest of the guitar is a bit off for what I like but that neck is really nice on these models.

The one I played looked like this.

nope, I think they are the fugliest PRS's guitars ever :)

certainly that is not what I think of when I think of PRS guitars :)

Had DC3 with with single coils for a while. I replaced it with this:

The neck has the same feel to it but it's got a little more strattyness to it in the 4 and 5 positions than the NF3. I don't really dig the NF pickup in the bridge position as it's a tad underpowered.

I'm interested in those pups, they seem to have their own thing going on. The tones I've heard have been great in clips
Yet to play one though

That's what I thought until I touched that neck.
