I'm really wanting one of these guitars ever since I tried one at a local music store. The thing plays super smooth and the body is perfectly balanced for lap playing albeit an offset shape. It's crazy how cheap the price is despite being made in the USA. Anyone own one of these or know any more on the S2 line and where they get there parts and wood from. Are they just using crazy cheap parts like from China or wherever and assembling it in the US or is everything sourced and assembled nationally?

I've got two S2 "Satin" models: Cu24 and Singlecut. From what I understand the woods are the same as the core line, but they use the less aesthetically pleasing wood for the S2 line. I believe the hardware is Korean. Anyhow, I really like them a lot for the money. Good workhorses that I got new for $700/$725 respectively. They really play great. I've been playing them more lately than any of my other guitars. Also of note, they are suppose to be releasing a "satin" version of the Vela soon.

The satin version is already out. They can be ordered from a dealer.
