I tried to HATE it. Didnt want to buy into the HYPE.Said "NEVER NEVER NEVER going to buy it". Refused to get something that emulates and be upset it didnt sound like everyone bragged about.

So I figured what the hell, I can use it for effect only and ditch all my noisy pedals. I gave in bought one from Steve and HOLY SHIT BATMAN.

After getting over the 384 presets of stuff and downloading every patch off of the Fractal site I have gotten down to about 20 presets. There are a lot of presets that are there to give you an idea of what it can do like other companies that throw setting in there you will never use.

The first 5-6 are Floyd presets, a few Fender clean /dirty, Mark Day's Marsha preset, A few Hiwatt setups, A/B'ed a few Bogner Ecstasy presets with my 20th A Ecstasy and have it damn...DAMN close, Marshall Plexi and a few others from artist like Santana etc.

uh oh....i've created a monster when i see that 20th X come up on the classifieds, i will know its over then !!!

the red channel and the blue set to plexi on my 20th XTC with the 2290 running in the FX loop is all I need really. there's no other tone i need, except what i have coming from fortin and maybe the bogner modded jcm800.

Nah I luv my bogners and I'm putting my 2290 back in that setup with the tc nova reverb in loop 5.

I'd sell my JMP100 first and I really like that amp as well. All though it is mostly for friends that come over and swear Marshalls are the shit, then I turn on the Bogs

I have my blue channel set to Plexi and play alot of Zep on it. I see we might have some similar taste.

I'd hold off on getting the Axe. Yes, it's considered the top of the heap for now, but the hardware's several years old and you know ole Cliff is going to surprise everyone soon with a new version. I'd grab the Axe-PC in a flash, if it existed.

I will give you in depth review once it lands on the 16th and I open it up and power it up. I will be putting it thru it's paces in a recording environment only. I will walk it over to my VH4 at some point to hear how the effects play thru the amps fx loops at higher volumes.
