Just for kicks I was going to pull 2 tubes to reduce my Marsha to 50W just see if there what it sounds like.
Do you pull the inner or outer pair and do the ohms get havled or doubled on the ohm selector. I've got an 8 ohm cab, just can't remember how this works and wonder if it does any long term damage to the amp? Please help.

I never did it myself, but you should in theory pull out the outer tubes....

I don't think it matters, better wait for Dave though. Ohms is halved, so you'd set to 4ohm.

it does matter
and the impedance is actually doubled, but yes, he would use the 4 ohm output

Why would you buy 100 watt if your gonna pull tubes?

They are definitely paired inner/outer. Pull the inner pair if you want to pull two. It really doesn't matter, but the first pair to see signal is the outer. You won't hear any difference though till you get to the "oh shit" level. You would halve the output to 4 ohm for an 8 ohm cab.
