Abalone shell as far as the eye can see (or is it some really nice Mother of Pearl?)

Never played a Baker that didn't sing. This one is no exception. So far I've adjusted the pickup heights to my liking. Need to find my allen wrenches to adjust the locking Tonepros II bridge/tailpiece and do the rest of the setup...

congrats on the guitar! I have no idea what they are getting for teh Bakers anymore but I've always heard great things about them!

Binding seems to be MOP to me :)

Congrats Ivan, I hear great stuff about the Baker stuff.

1997-1993 Baker pricing estimates:

BJ (Junior) models run $1,900-$2,400
B1 models run $2,400-$3,200
B1C models run similar to above (though with maybe a little more upside)
Robben Ford models run
Customs models run  (I almost bought a guitar ordered like a Robben Ford last year but, someone beat me to it as I hesitant about paying over $3K for a plain woods guitar  )

Baker now put out the B3 line and I think they START at $4,500... so forget about one of those for me

My Bad!!!!

Gene writes a collumn for Premier Guitar magazine that is always a great read. Too bad he had to sell the rights to the "Baker" name to Ed Roman. I haven't played one of the Roman-Baker guitars.

The original Bakers will definitely be great collector's items as time goes by!

The body shape/headstock doesn't quite do it for me, but I've heard nothing but good things, and the finish work looks excellent, congrats
