Those are both nice choices. Ive got BKP Mules in my LP and they sound great. Another option... Wolfetone Marshallheads.

I had some Thornbuckers in mine that sounded pretty killer.

I've had both the Rebel Yells and the Aldrich set in both of my Les Pauls. They are both great sets of pickups. I am currently running the Aldrich set in both guitars, but I have a set of Rebel Yells laying around in case I get that itch. The Aldrich set sounds bigger, and hits your amp slightly harder than the Rebel Yells. The RYs are a bit more articulate, and have a bit more of a mids forward tone to them. Both pickups have a great mid range growl to them. The Aldrich is just a bit more lower mids, and the RY is a bit more upper mids. The Aldrich is ever so slightly more compressed than the RY. At the moment, the Aldrich is just doing it for me. But like I said, I have the Rebel Yells ready to go if I decide I want that flavor again. Either way, you have a great set of rock pickups.

Never owned LP, but I have several PRS with mahogany body/neck and rosewood fretboard. I have a set of SD Black Winters in one and it crushes, love it. If you like hard and heavy, it delivers.
I have a Suhr SSH+ and SD Jazz in another and that combo sounds great too, it’s my go-to guitar for recording and I play it the most.

I tried an Aldrich bridge and it was good, but for whatever reason it was too trebly for me, which may go against the norm. On paper it seemed like such s good fit too.

I’ve also have one with an SD Custom 5 (TB14) and Dimarzio Humbucker From Hell. The SD works really well, good full sounding, not to high or low. The Dimarzio is one of my all time favorite neck pickups, perfect for that type of guitar in my book. Bell like chime, awesome for up on the neck soloing.

I found the Aldrich great tone but seemed stiff to me. I’ve had WCR (Wagner) Godwoods in my GT for at long time and have never felt the urge to replace them. They do it all. I’ve also had Marshallheads in another and loved them and currently have Wolfe’s Greywolfes in a MIJ LP Custom and really dig them.
Good luck on your quest. There’s a ton of good pickups out there these days.

I love the Aldrich in super strats. HATED it in my LP. I tried it covered and uncovered. Nope.

There are lots of good options for a LP. Being that you're looking at med to med hot, the MCP Double D is a great option in LP's. Kind of gives me a more organic, less screaming Duncan Distortion sort of vibe. I have the ceramic one, but he does an alnico one too. Unfortunately, I've never played the neck. And speaking of the the Duncan Distortion, it would also be worth consideration for a LP. The MCP Hothead is another one that works well in LP's. It has one of the best neck picks I've played. It's bold and clear sounding. If your LP, is dark and heavy in the low end I'd maybe pass on the Hothead.

I'm simplistic, and a Custom SH-5 and a '59 always get my vote.

The Dimarzio 36th Anniversaries sound great in an LP as well. I got my brother a pair for his Studio he had refinished, and they sound fantastic. Musical.. Really do everything well.

The Aldrich sounded great in pretty much every LP I’ve had them in

Jim Wagner Godwoods and Wolfetone Marshall heads in my Les Pauls .

BKP Black Dogs
BKP Rebel Yells
BKP Mules
Suhr Aldrich

All these have done me well. I am particularly fond of the first two options I listed.

Look into Wolftone pickups, i have tried a few and all of them Being nice i settled on the Monkeybucker bridge and a Marshallhead bridge for the neck. It slayes!!!

I’ve been through more pickups than almost anything and I’d say for the money the best options are the WCR’s (Wagner) and Wolfetone’s, particularly the WCR Darkbursts and Iron Man and Wolfetone Marshallheads, but if you can afford it then the Tone Specifics pickups are on another level. In all my keeper guitars I either have Tone Specifics in them or real deal vintage stuff. Everything else is long gone (had Motor City’s, Arcane’s, Dunable’s, Lundgren’s, Klein’s, Ian Anderson’s, Virgil Arlo’s, Fralin, Lollar, WB, Bareknuckles, Suhr, Budz, etc.)

I find the Bare Knuckle’s and Suhr pickups to sound sterile and uninspiring, especially when compared to pickups at a certain level
