cool Dave. I can't tell, but does it have a jack where u can use a footswitch to bypass?

Awesome.
I have a 2204. I recently replaced ALL the caps (except the PI fizz cap, 47pf - that I'm waiting on a 100pf replacement to try). The EFX loop is like the one thing this amp doesn't have...and most reviews about an added loop are mixed...

I may have to try this. Keep us updated on this loop!

That is very cool.

Looks pretty damn neat ot me Dave

Good job Dave! I wish I had the balls to try something like that.

Hey Dave, that is great! It looks like you got some Sozo's in there for caps?

Yup. I put them in a few years ago. They sound great.

I bet! I also heard for high gain stuff off the metro amp forum that those IC caps are a little better for more of a "metal" sound from what I remember larry saying. This brand-http://www.illinoiscapacitor.com/search/main/FilmStd.asp?SERIES=27

Nice work Dave, looks great!!

On the subject of capacitors... Im using ERO MKT1813 Polyester caps in my 2204 rebuild right now. I'll let you know how they sound once its up and running

I like the ICs as well. They are cheaper too... ;) I actually had them in the amp first, but changed them out for the sozo's. Amp was a little smoother. Both were a lot better than the stock caps.

Cool man! So you could actually hear a small difference..

How are the instructions for the kit? Do they only focus on marshalls?

I just thought this might be a cool mod for my Vox AC50, there is even room in the cab where I wouldn't have to drill out the chassis.

Nice job Dave! Why is it, that if you use a footswitch instead of the kit sw, it is no longer true bypass? Thanks - Jim

I would think that a switch would either make the connection or short the connection to ground thus not allowing the loop to work? Not sure, need to think about it more.

I bet thats it, the footswitch most likely jumpers the send and return. The true bypass switch probably jumpers the input and out put all together bypassing the entire loop circuit.

Dont they make DPDT footswitches? Maybe thats not what you would need?

Too lazy. I still may use it in a different Marshall.

If I could get someone to layout Larrys loop on a board like this I would be all over it.

When i get some free time, I'll put the Larry Loop together on a piece of board like your SS Loop and post some pics up
