I see that EMG does not make a Trem Spaced version of the Hetfield pickup. It has poles in them so would that be a prob with a Floyd?

probably not. i cant notice a differance with a 50mm on a floyd i wouldnt worry about it.

S'up Jason. I've used std spacing DiMarzios on an Ibanex I used to own and can't say I have ever noticed an issue. Best of luck. Maybe e-mail EMG??

I did email EMG. Said it was not "optimal" but would work fine. I know alot of ppl think the whole spacing thing is lunacy. I'm not sure either way.

All the guys the bkp forum say it doesn't matter and they are pickup crazy. Don't worry about it. I have a 50mm on a 53 stop tail and it sounds better than alot of my guitars
