Have plans to order a velocity 300 and first time user of this product, but there is something looking at the manual on the example on how to hook up the velocity in mono or stereo the illustration always show using both outputs on each of the channels. My question my plan is to use two 1x12 cabinet wire at 8ohms each with the idea to use in stereo. is posible to use one output from each channel to run on stereo without having any problem or miss match on impedance?

I'm not sure what you're asking here? :)

You want to run a preamp/effects processor, left out into left in of the Rocktron, and right out into right in of the Rocktron, and use two 8 ohm cabinets?

Yes you can. Pages 9, 11 and 12 should tell you most of it. If not, what are you wondering about?

My plan is to hook up in stereo but the illustration on the manual is showing that to go on stereo you need 4 cabinets or always use both outputs from each channels that confuse a bit since there is no ohms switch for impedance like on a tube amp and the illustration wont show the ohms of cabs.. So what i need to know is i can do stereo only using one output from each channel and if it can be done my cabs would need to be on 16 ohms or 8ohms with out having any kind of problem related to impedance mismatch.

Ah, okay!
My guess is that they used 4 4x12 cabs just to show what it's capable of driving. The amount of speakers isn't important, only the total impedance.

As long as you have two cabinets between 4 and 16 ohms, and connect them, one to each channel, you could basically run one 4 ohm cab on the left channel and one 16 ohm on the right. The left would be louder than the right, but the amp wouldn't think twice about it :) That is one of the charms with solid state amps. Stay inside the given impedances per channel, and you're golden. The only thing you shouldn't do with it, is run both of your 8 ohm cabs on one bridged channel. Connect one of your cabs to (one of) the left output and the other to (one of) the right ones.

The illustration tells you that you can run two 8 ohm 4x12 cabs per side of the amp, and still be safe.

I have a question though it might sound really dumb but is it possible to use the velocity 300 mono through only one 4x12 cabinet and if so how do you hook it up i guess that will give me 150 watt only but thats more than enough i'm getting a custom cab but i wanna make sure how to do this since i dont really feel like running 2 cabs and my bands trailer is not that big hehe

thanks in advance

easy as that? lmao just to make sure since theres two outputs per channel which one should i use and what specs would be best for my custom cab

Yep...that easy. Use the spec you prefer, but the higher ohm cabs will have slightly lower output. I don't believe it matters which output jack you use on the Rocktron IIRC... If you plan on going to a tube amp at some point, I'd probably do an 8 or 16 ohm cab, but that is just my opinion and preference.

lol i have a tube amp with a matched cabinet its just that i dont feel like trashing a 3000$ amp on the road i think ill have 2 jacks on my cab one 8 and one 16 or maybe one 4 one 8 and one 16 idk id have to talk to the guys at voltage cabs thanks alot dude you've been really helpful
