I've got a lead on a couple vintage Kramers from 1988/89.
I know people usually want the '83 - '86 Kramers, however from what I've read, these bodies were made by a baseball bat factory (WTF?) with ESP necks. Quality was kinda up and down.
From '86 to '89 Kramer were killing it, getting in ESP bodies and necks and building them in the USA with OFR's and Duncans. QC was tight apparently.
Is this info right, or off base?
The other thing is, these Kramers are '88/'89 Baretta II "American" guitars. Pointy headstock which says "Kramer" in the classic font and "American" in script. Dinky style body with the lower horn scallop, OFR's and one offset Duncan bridge pickup. One is a rare Knapp graphic, the other is a metallic candy apple red. Both in great shape.
What's the current market value on these things? I'm seeing Reverb sold ads around the $1K - $1300 mark for the solid colours, the graphic ones are higher, some around $2K USD. Is this accurate or inflated?
Pics will come if this deal comes through.
Cheers!
