Questions about the Dirty Shirley

Hello everyone. I'm a new DS user and new to the forum. Loving the DS so far but have a couple questions that I couldn't find answers to searching the threads.

How do you bias the amp? Does the amp have bias points and a trim pot? If so what voltage does the amp operate best at?

What preamp tubes work well in these?

There aren't bias pots on the DS. Pick up a Weber Bias Rite.

tubes. What preamp tube are you running?

Why not contact Rack Systems directly rather than solicit forum opinions?

As for preamp tubes, any 12ax7s will work...experiment and find out which ones work for you.

Sovtek 5881 tubes biased at 40ma and Chinese preamp tubes from ars electronics.. Maybe a tungsol preamp tube in the first slot if you have problems finding a low microphonic Chinese one.
