Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and I've been enjoying looking through all the pedal and rig setups for the last few days.

I have a few questions on the best way to set up a rack rig. It seems like some guys want all their stuff in the rack and some have it all on the floor and then their are some with a mix of both. I can't seem to get my head around what the best way to set up what I have is. This is probably pretty basic for the pro's around here so I thank those willing to help out a amateur rig builder.

This is what I have below and I would like be able to add a few more pedals and some way to control the rack effects.

Boss Oc 2
Phase90 script
Morley wah
TC Gmajor2
Mesa Quad Pre amp
/Custom/ 20 watt power amp
Mesa Cab

As it is now I don't have any way of controlling the rack effects so that needs to be added. I've considered getting a Ground Control Pro or that plus a Gcx switcher to go with it but since the pre amp has four channels that would only leave four spots left for pedals if I understand this right.

I've considered ditching the Gmajor2 for the simplicity of separate pedals but the advantage it has added are; it's compact and quiet, the disadvantages are I lose the simplicity of dial adjustments and ease of setup. I need it for its tuner, compressor, delay, chorus, pitch shifter and reverb. Ultimately it would be best to have the most efficient and compact setup possible as long as it can do everything that is required. If it was all in a rack that would be nice and compact but it could go either way.

Here is what I would like to be able to do with individual foot switches:

Clean (channel 1 on the pre amp)+Compression
Clean (channel 1 on the pre amp)+Compression+Chorus
Channel 2, 3 and 4 on the pre amp (know on the pre as rhythm 2, lead 1-2)
Delay
Long Delay
Reverb
Phaser
Pitch shifter
Octaver
And maybe a few extra spots for new pedals

And there it is. Any idea's guys?

Get a GCP, 2 x GCX, and have Tone Merchants put it together for you

As much as I would like to do that I'm not at that kind of level either professionally or financially to be able to do that at this point. I do though share a love for fancy rack systems and pedal setups and I was hoping to get a few pointers in the right direction. I'm not expecting detailed assembly instructions for free because I know this kind of work is valuable as well as time involved in even briefly explaining how I would do this.

As for your suggestion about the GCP and two GCX switchers, I've thought of that as an option but I wonder if that is the most efficient way of doing it considering the amount of gear involved. Anyway thanks for the input.
