What settings do you use in Torpedo Remote?

I'm still trying to get a solid tone without using any of the EQ / Exciter / etc...

Sick riff man!
Thanks! I'm going to turn it into a full song I think. Just grabbed a couple midi loops from the Black Metal pack in EZDrummer.

I uploaded this to the Two Notes exchange but I'll post screen shots here in a minute. I'm fixing to do a full demo of the Sig tomorrow I hope.

Sounds great man

I'm absolutely lovin my recently acquired D60, but I can totally see a Sig x in my future ;) Wish I had tried the VHT/Fryette stuff sooner, but glad I didn't wait any longer. Its simply amazing. Like nothing else I've played.

Sounds pretty good man.

Thanks! I love this amp. Got it for an amazing price on the GC used site. Was looking randomly when I had my last D60 and saw this guy with footswitch for dirt cheap and it is SUPER clean.

Thanks man. For me, the Sig is the ultimate Fryette. Get all the tones I personally loved from the Deliverance line but adds extra tone shaping adjustments, super nice clean and the switchable effects loop. If I every had to go down to only keeping 1 amp, it'd be this guy.

Can do jazz to classic rock to death metal all on one amp with no boost needed.

Here are screen shots of the settings for each cab/mic

I did the smallest EQ tweak on each side but it was very slight.

Oh man it has been the best gear purchase I've ever made! Happier with my recorded tones since getting it than I was with my Kemper even.

Also I find their cabs better than any OwnHammer, 3 Sigma, etc.

Very cool, you got a new follower ;) Man have you ever tried the Suhr Reactive Load? So curious about the TN Studio... wonder if I should jump ship or not.

Sweet! Thanks bro! I have not tried the Suhr but did have the Power Station V1 and Rivera RockCrusher. I have heard killer recordings with the Suhr and yours are certainly in that group. In my opinion, nothing touched the Two Notes Studio. I consistently like te cabs in it better than any iR's I have purchased. I like having it all in one unit. It is NOT cheap. For me, anything over $1200 is "aspirational" and it takes a lot to get me to commit.

I only started with the Torpedo Live because Sweetwater was doing killer 0% financing. Had it for a week and loved it so of course I returned it for he flagship model. I knew I'd be kicking myself for not haveong the ability to do two cabs and mics per track plus the converters are upgraded and it handles more wattage. If you're going to drop coin then get the best you can afford, whether it's low or high dollar.

I am a firm believer in that.

Best thing for me about the Studio is being able to move the mics at will and not have to sift through sometimes hundreds of IR's of the same cab.

Honestly, I find so many of those two notes IR's to be bloated and lack cut or high end detail. I sort of heard that with your clip here. Do me a favour and throw my IR's I sent to you on the same clip and let's hear how she sounds!

With IR's it is all in the ears I guess. We all hear it different. I actually think I like Redwirez the best for the cut and detail and then ownhammer. Sort of like mic placement in recording, we all like diff stuff thankfully or we would all sound the same!

Fair enough. I honestly have spent quite a bit on OwnHammer stuff and don;t like much of any of it. I keep buying stuff because I do hear good recordings with them, just not from me.

It's tough with clips isn't it? No matter who demos what, I finally have learned that I have to hear it through my own rig and in my own room. I agree that Ownhammer can be a bit too polished at times as well though. As such, it all ends up sounding similar.

Yeah for sure. Plus with the OwnHammer, you get SO many choices of individual IR's that for me, I rarely hear too much a difference in the incremental movements of the mic from IR to IR. That's why I actually prefer the Two Notes cabs. Setting a loop on my Helix and then I can move the mics around myself til I get them where I like.

I have had ok luck with the Celestion IR's. 3 Sigma suck and I say that openly! I have a couple LiveReadySound IR's to demo so I will do these when I try yours.

Man, I listened to the 3 Sigma impulses on their site and they didn't seem that bad lol. What is it that you hear that you hate? Too hyped in the highs? BTW I agree that the one really cool thing about Two Notes is that you can move the mic around on the pic rather than scrolling through a list. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal but constantly bringing down the menu and running through a bunch of diff of impulses that are not very different from one another is a pain in the ass.
