I had a bad preamp tube. Swapped them out and did a quick test. It’s the tone for sure!! The BE channel sounds great too. But the clean channel dimed with the Les Paul is the shit

sounds pretty bad ass. thanks for sharing

what cab/speak?

Thanks! It’s actually the shittiest cab I own. A Sovtek 1x12 loaded with the stock Eminence green back clone.

Ditto. Sounds great. Can, speakers, BE or JBE?

JBE mode. Bass and gain dimed ala the NAMM videos. Crappy Sovtek Cab with stock Eminence speaker.

Sounds really cool. Do you like it allot more than your EVH head?

How much high-volume clean headroom with humbuckers? More than 1 or 2 clicks on guitar volume to clean up?

You know what though, we all need to hear different setups and gear. Everyone on this forum at one time or another has bought gear based on a clip and realize later that it was recorded with additional affects, multiple cabs, etc. It is good to hear the NAMM one, yours, and others.

With that said, even with it being a quick clip, sounds killer!

Thanks man!! I’m going to do another quick clip tonight. That said, the iPhone and YouTube does compress the sound and it can be hard to truly judge it until you play it.

I’m not sure I understand the question??

I think he is asking how easy is it to go to a clean sound when adjusting the volume knob on your guitar with humbuckers. If you are full bore and on "10", can you adjust the knob to a "5" and sounds clean or do you have to drop to a "2", etc.

Gotcha! BE mode cleans up very well. Lower out put pickups in my Les Paul can go from fairly clean on 2, light crunch at 5 or so. JBE will clean up too but not quite as well.

I totally agree with this. It's nice to hear it in a room and not loaded with processing.
