Just wanted to share some observations for those on a similar quest as me.
I just tried out the Quilter 101 mini head last night.
The reason I got one is I need something small that is as loud as a 50 watt tube head. I had a crate power block and an ISP stealth....neither was loud enough.
I got my Kemper head used, non powered a few years back and I refused to spend an extra $1K to get the powered version or a matrix etc...I got the 101 for $225 on ebay... oh and it fits in the back cavity of the Kemper.
So the Quilter 101 is definitely loud enough. it buried the drummer (loud metal drummer), but I had to use the guitar input...which wasn't my first choice. I read that you could bypass the tonal qualities by using the fx return...but that sounded really quiet.
So I'm willing to deal with he tonal qualities of the Quilter for stage volume purposes because it fits in the Kemper, is loud enough and saves about $800.
