RIP Clive, Always missed his playing once he left the band. As a young drummer loved jamming the intro to The Prisoner.

I struggled with that over some of his harder stuff.

Funny part is that Bruce came up with that intro! Clive was late for practice or studio, and Bruce was dicking around his kit. They liked it, so then Clive played it.

Oh man, that's sad...

To me, he was the best drummer that maiden had. He had that cool "les binks" style
of descending rolls that I loved.

Rest easy there mate...

Iron Maiden's Iron Maiden is still my one of my favorite albums.

RIP Clive Burr!! His work with Maiden is outstanding and he will not be forgotten!!! Iron Maiden, Killers and NOTHB are classics!!

That simple snare hit on the upbeat in the verses of Number of the Beast is still one of the coolest rock drum parts ever. I cut my teeth on Killers and it's one of those rare albums I could listen to a million times and never get tired of. He's right up there with the best of the best in my book.

R.I.P. Clive.
