Frank passed away yesterday. Those of you who are familiar with Frank or known him personally know that his work had contributed to some of the biggest bands, their tones and recordings.

I'm unfamiliar with his work. Please explain who he was for the sadly uneducated, like myself.

Wow....he did a ton of mods through the years for many of those guitarists that we all enjoy listening to. Very sad to hear this.....

RIP, he obviously did a ton of great work with amps for many artists, but he was also a nice guy who was very approachable about amps and music. I don't know when he stopped (if he stopped at all), but he was modding and working on amps in the NY area for some time.

Frank was a very nice man. Very simple person, well educated and extremely passionate about music!
I've had the honor to talk to him quiet a bit through email and messenger, and he did mod a 79 2203 with the #34 mod for my studio. The amp is a beast, and sounds freaking phenomenal.
Frank will be missed, but always remembered and celebrated!

Wow. Man, as soon as I saw the DeMartini name pop up I suddenly remembered where I had heard his name before. R.I.P.
