Hey there,

has anyone here had the chance to demo or possibly own the Radial Bones London and Carl Martin Plexitone, or any other 'Marshall' type of pedal with either 2 channels or a adequate boost in the same pedal? How about the Radial Plexitube?

I've been using the Radial Bones London for a few months now and absolutely love it for what it does, the hot rodded plexi type of sound. Still I find myself GASin for a Plexitone or a Plexitube  . How do they compare with each other? Is there any point in GASing for them ie. should I buy one in favor of the Bones London?

I had a plexitube and it wasnt bad at all, great plexi tone. I just recently got a plexitone and its killer. Great sounds of both channels and the boost is incredible.

I've used the Plexitone in the past many many moons ago and all I remember of the pedal is that it sounded awesome even through a crappy Crate head, and I fear I need to get one to my current rig as well, just for peace of mind if nothing else ;).

I remember the Radial Hot British was like a Marshall-in-a- can ( in a good way ) or instant 90% to the Van Halen Brown Sound ....and they actually can sound good into modelers etc. making them more tubelike.

At the moment it looks like I'm sticking with the Bones.

GAS is a funny thing though ;). May be I'll add the Plexitone to my board later.

I love my Plexitone. I'm on my second one. Only sold the first as I thought it was overkill to have it, an OCD and my XTC. But once I sold the XTC, I found myself missing the PT and bought one from a fellow RigTalker.

BTW... the PT into the Blue channel on the XTC, set in plexi mode was early EVH eargasmic! It was the brown sound I'd been chasing for decades. But unless you're in a VH cover band or just get-off on constantly having that tone... you start to get bored with it after a while.

Love the PT. Sounds great through every clean channel amp I have tried. I even tried it with a Vox Valvetronics (Blue series) head and the result was a much improved tube-like tone that would clean up nice with a roll of the guitar pot just like it should. PT also works well with other gain pedals. I currently have a TS before the PT and an RC Booster after it.

GAS sure is a funny little thing :D . I bought a Plexitone to try out and compare with the Bones. I've had it for about a week now and have to say I will be sticking with the Bones. May be my ears have grown to like it better idk

To be honest I didn't hear much of a difference between the two them anyway.
