Guys i wonder if you guys encounter this... i let my guitar connected with a canare with neutrik plugs with my amplifier turned on without playing it and it produces kinda "beep" high pitch sound and follow with some kinda peep,peep,peep.... lol i know it sounds funny lol sorry guys....

I tried off all electrical appliances and this phenonmenon still there... i stay in a flat as i wonder if RF could be coming from my neighbour...

I decided to get good instrument cables and ran into lava cable site and they sell diy kit like ELC cable and ultramaufic cable and its said to have good RF rejection with their new G&H plugs....

I wonder if anybody here experience this annoyance with such RF interferance ? And did experience with lava cable and solve the RF problem ?

Yup, I had the exact same problem with the same sounds.
Took my cell phone out of my pocket and problem solved.

Seriously!

I tried before and its still there.... i got almost crazy when halted and putting up to that timely high pitched "peeee" sound and then pek pek pek.... i just have no idea where its off from... its certainly not from the amp itself as i plug out the instrument cable and the annoying RF is no longer there... but soon as i plug in the cable it comes again even with the guitar not plugged in but with cable connected to the amp... :(

Wonder if anybody solve this issue by getting good instrument cable from ie lava cable or evidence cable? The RF rejection from lava helps? Rather than a normal canare cable ?

I think there's a way to mod the input jack on the amp, by grounding it in a certain way to get rid of interference. When you plug in you create an antenna of sorts and by grounding it at the input jack it gets rid of any interference. PM James Peters here, he'll know more I'm sure.

^ yep RF filter caps do the trick... no need to use something like a Sozo either, cheap ceramics work just as well. I usually take mine forward between the jack and the chassis. Loosen the jack nut, slip it in, and re-tighten.

cell phone on top of amp or in my pocket will do that.

Thanks guys... this elusive noise.. but i remember my amp didnt use to having this sort of noise... soon i realise it starts to make some sort of "creep" noise in a timely manner then it all a suddenlt dissappear without me doing anything and i thought its speakers problem... but not it starts this "peeeeeeep" and followed by "tick tick tick tick" noise and this comes in a string which happens also in timely manner...

Do you guys think it maybe my unclean power off from my wall outlet ? Or in any sense its my kimber speaker cable ?

I used to get these Mexican radio stations ... lol.

I had a cloth wrapped cable that picked up a French radio station. Never had any issues with other cables except for this one cable. No matter where I was playing that damn cable would pick it up. Dunno what make it is as I got it as a gift. I still have the thing sitting in a corner....

Think i try buy new cables first thanks !!

I've seen cell phones (on amp and in pocket cause it). My singer had a ticking noise that turned out to be his watch.

Pretty much any digital gear (cell, wifi, mobile internet, radio, even iPod, etc) can cause this. My cell phone has been the primary culprit, but other things have triggered it also.

are you wearing a wrist watch? sometimes my amp will pick up the ticking of my watch, especially with high output pickups or high gain settings...

This only happens at my drummers house. Not sure why, I always thought it was just that his electrical wiring was crap.

fixed^^^

I used to get weird Christian talk shows through my amp whenever I turned on my PTD Bone Machine. Maybe the pedal was too evil.

My germanium Cheeze Block Fuzz will pick up radio signals if i don't use my gate.
