You gotta start somewhere. About as humble as it gets. I'm not up to speed on current computers but Amazon has what look like pretty good deals on refurbs, Incoming I have an i7 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD + 2TB SATA Dell with 24" screen/mouse/keyboard for $565. This cheapo desk/chair/interface/monitors and I'll be on my way...to what I have no idea. I'm sure I'll hitting you guys up for tips but I'm not even there yet. Thinking of starting with Reaper and EZ Drummer.

Reaper and EZ is a great jumping off point.

Just remember to work with them for a while, and truly get all you can out of them, before deciding you "have" to move up or move on.

They're both great, and powerful to use.

To your point, yeah, I just bought a cheap interface and am running Reaper and EZ. Need to get some monitors next and I have no idea what to get without shelling out a bunch of dough. Your setup looks like it’s going be cool. Gotta keep it simple at least to start. Recording gear is a deep hole you can travel down for sure.

Just remember All the gear and money in the world won't write you a great song .... I sometimes find inspiration in being as minimalist as I can be .... Goodluck!
