Could be cool if Mike would explain the amps!? :)

And I'm sad to see that the amp/pedal is solid state unlike the one in his avatar.

I'm betting these amps are gonna be fantastic!
I can assure you they are fantastic and they aren't going to gouge your wallet ;) !!!

Except for the fact that "Diavlo" Doesn't mean Devil in Italian.. "DiavOlo" does. Check your sources Randall or you look like chumps for people who actually speak italian or are of italian origin.

Will the diavlo cover rock tones as well or is this a one trick high gain pony for metal players. That is where Randall has missed the mark. Us 80's guys like amps too :(

Just to follow up, seems like Randall is trying to take over the high gain market. I guess that makes sense seeing as the trends now seem to be more geared towards the brutalz. I do think however that it would have been nice to have a hotrodded 800 type of amp in the line up though.

No Satan, no Hammett Meathead...

I can't see on this little screen, does the Thrasher have the Low Gain and High Gain adjustments like the Satan was supposed to?

I hope for Randall and Mike's sake, there is enough variety in tone from amp model to amp model or this will be a colossal fuck up. I am sure they thought of this but ultimately, who gives a shit if 8 out of 10 amps sound 90% similar to each other.

From what I hear of Mike, he's an amazing builder and very smart dude. Hopefully there will be enough flavors that the new line up will cater to a broad audience. Let's keep in mind, "high gain" and "brutal" don't have to mean the same thing. The JSX is high gain, the DSL is high gain, hopefully Randall didn't put all their eggs in one basket tone wise.

I can address this since I am an 80's guy!

The amps will be able to cover any territory. Here is something that I learned over the years from being an amp hoarder and tone seeker for many years. When it comes to gained out amps I think it has more to do with the style you play then the voicing. What I mean is that when I play through ANY OF THE MODERN amps out today, I sound very 80's because of my style. The modern amps might come voiced with more lower mids which people deem to be more MODERN but when I play my 80's licks through them.... The amps sounds very 80's and I've already proven this to kids/players who are younger then me and play a different style and use different tunings ;)

These amps can cover a lot of ground and they aren't one trick ponies. Anyone who digs high gain regardless of style should be very happy ;)

On another note My case and point about style has already been proven.
When Ola Englund was at Mike Fortins house, He let Ola play through one of his Original Jose modded amplifiers from back in the day. When Ola did a clip through that amp, an amp that was voiced in the late 70's/80's it sounded modern because of Ola's style. When I played through it, It sounded like 80's metal hahahahaha.
Mike modded one of my personal amps for Ola to the same spec as the Jose and the same thing happens, when he plays it with a TS808, boosting it it sounds killer/Modern... Me through the same setup, It sound like John Sykes (welll I wish.. but you get the idea hahahahaha :)

Oh and just a bit of info, They are tweaking an amp for Lynch right now, so if anyone disagrees with anything I just said, that alone should give you ammo that an 80's type non brutal amp will be available ;)

All the best!!

When you name amps Diablo and Thrasher, chances are slim that non-Thrashers will choose those amps, regardless of how it sounds. This doesn't apply to me though...I would love tho check these amps out! Really want to hear Satan

Thanks for your input on these amps mystery Randall endorsee! Owning a lynchbox and a few of his modules I am def. a fan of Randall. I think they have had some definite successes in the past and I suppose you are right about the player vs the amp because i too sound 80's when I play most higher gain amps and only sound more modern when i scoop some mids and play tighter style riffs. I was just worried that there would be no good crunch or dry rock tone for looser playing.

No surprise they are tweaking something else for Lynch. Does that guy play anything for more than a month? It all sounds good, he just needs to find more good sounding $hit it seems.

Really hope they do something in the modded plexi+ style. A Randall/Fortin/Lynch amp with classic looks would be outstanding. Back when I played the MTS stuff, a boosted Brahma was probably the best tone I've ever had. If only that amp didn't continually fail on me...

Super psyched for future amps from Randall/Fortin - but none of these designs move me...

The page has + & - buttons at the top to make it bigger/smaller.

There are other shows this year too :)

The new lineup looks great! I agree with Gainfreak about flexibility versus the nameplate. I know great local Jazz player who uses 5150 amps, he loves them and sounds great through them.

I see the RG1503 made an appearance, I thought the clips sounded great that are YT.

I only hope Randall has finally addressed the shortcomings in quality that they had in the late 90's and early 2000's.

If these new RG's are built solid like the RG's of old I'm definitely buying one!

This is great.

I love Lassee's clip of the Diavlo if it had a little more of "open string low end growl" it would be perfect for me. Maybe the different tubes or a boost would take care of that but am very curious to try all of these out.
