Hey all, I'm very excited about these new fortin-designed randall diavlos and all the clips sound great-especially the 1 watter to my ears. Only question is- is there ANY way I can switch back and forth from clean to dirty using one of the randall low wattage amps? My gigs are mostly a tiny monitor with feed to PA, and these XLR outs sound amazing, but i need to switch between lead and clean. I'll get the rd45 if i have to, but this 1 watter is so appealing. Also did Fortin help design the RG13? Does it sound at all like the diavlo's preamp? Thanks for your time guys...

I own a 45 and a RG 13. Both flat out kill! I am using the RG 13 direct to the pa and it sounds fantastic! Mike did not design the RG 13.

Thanks Jeff! Kind of thinking of grabbing both aswell! Is the XLR direct out of the diavlo better than the rg13 in your opinion?

No switching on the 1 or 5.

RG13 is a totally different product that Mike had nothing to do with.

Get the RD20. It will cover what you describe with ease!

Thanks. Ton! Great advice (the one I didn't consider:) ps, does it rage at low volumes like the 1 watt?

Yes it does. It has a great master volume that works very well at low volumes.

Just an update-the rd 20 and 45 we're so similar in size and weight that I ordered the rd45 for the full RAWK. I will update when it comes! Thanks guys.

Thanks Jeff! As I mentioned more often than not I gig direct to pa with a monitor but I miss the the tube goodness! I hope the rd45 outperforms the rg13 direct as well

That's the one to get. I suggested the 20 only because in your previous posts it sounded like you really wanted low wattage.

Cool. I got it and sounds great so far-I can't bring it on a gig until Monday as of now so ill report then! One bummer-I thought there was a dummy load on it-I guess just the smaller versions.

I have posted in other threads about the dummy load only included on the 1 and 5...
