I haven't tried one, but it's basically the Super V, Judge and Grail preamps from his modular line.

i tried one at NAMM

it may be based off the modular stuff, but is nowhere as good.

I know because I have the lynch box modular head with those very modules.

Only thing I've seen is FMM demo...sounded OK on that.

BTW I looked back at some of your old YT videos.....enjoyed the one with the Mr Scary module you did......you were just gripping and ripping there! :-)

That's interesting. Could you explain a bit why it wasn't as good?

it just didnt sound as rich, fat , and dynamic.

I got to turn it up pretty loud and it sounded cardboard and one dimensional

That sucks. You'd think with the experience of the modular line it could only get better, being "hard wired" in the circuit. Do you know if they changed transformers or anything in the circuit itself?

I would love to check one out.
Had 2 of the Old MTS Lynch Box Amps....with all the Lynch Modules.
For the price of this one....seems like a good deal. ;)

The mailman knows what he speaketh. I've had a Lynch Box as well, 50 amd 100, never got a chance to run the GTO through it, but I did run it through my RM100. Honestly, wasn't impressed with that one. Mr. Scary was it, for me. I love the modular stuff and have moved on to Egnater dual channels, but the modders are what gets me off there. I'm really shocked they are seemingly irrelevant. The mts modders do some good stuff. Shame Randall couldn't up the bar on the 103.

Yeah I'm with you guys, love my Lynchbox. Not sold on the GTO though it is a good module.. I much prefer the brahma and that is the one they should have gone with. I have a Friedman corrected Brahma and it kicks ass. That would be my one go to. Have a Hilligan modded module as well which kills. These are / were great amps. Oh and then very person who started this thread ripped it up pretty good on a scary module I seem to recall!

Oh yeah....some VERY GOOD TONES coming out of MTS land....
it just got to be pricey collecting all the modules. Had a Friedman modded Brahma...Grail...and Scary...
and with was a GREAT SET UP for sure! But GAS gets ahold of you and the grass is always greener in AMP LAND........

GAS is a bitch, just ask my wife. I'm a lucky man that she puts up with a basement full of gear.

You're partly to blame, Dan. You were an mts man when I started on the journey.
