The amp you have shits all over it, and I'm not a recto fan. I'd take an EVH or a Splawn any day of the week over it. The one I had needed an eq in the loop to sound good. That's not a good thing.

I totally disagree. I've owned the RD45H TWICE, second time, I kept it in favor of the EVH 50. It has a unique character, and is mean as shit with a boost. Made in China, that's what keeps the price down. I'd gig one any day.

Quality and build, yeah, the Mesa shits on it, but I wouldn't underestimate the tones. Easy to dial in. If you had a decent cab, you shouldn't have needed an EQ, I never used one. Id have to say user error on that.

Cant understand a word, this is a closer representation:

I thought I recognized the name. You sent me an email about the RD100h I have for sale. I sent you an email back but I can also add some more thoughts here. If you already have a recto that's cool. That's an awesome amp in several ways but itwon't necessarily shit all over the RD100. It is bad ass and it is technically probably built better but Mesa is built "better" than a 5150 and it doesn't shit all over that. They both can sound bad ass. I personally would rather have the RD100 over the Recto or 5150. Just a tone that is closer to what I like. It has a nice clean channel and a great loop.

Maybe I was a little harsh on the 100. Mine didn't sound very good, but I would add that I did try a RD 45 and it sounded much better to me. I could have had a lemon...and no, user error not a chance dude. I've had V30, GB, G12 65, EV cabs all here now for 7 years. Ive had probably 20 or 30 amps come through my door, each one sounded good through at least one of my cabs. I couldn't get that RD100 to sound barely average until I put an eq in the loop...then it was OK. I also tried different Pre tubes, nothing changed. Like I said, maybe it was a lemon..

Here is a clip of the three channels on the RD100. I start off with channel 2 boost off and then turn the boost on and off. Then the clean channel. And finally channel 3 boost off and then turning the boost on and off a few times. Used a cheap ass guitar with a Squier pickup and a SM57 on a V30. One track completely raw. Gain knob on both drive channels was just past 2 O'clock.
