I always found it interesting that they call it a XL cab but it's not oversized.

I've got the XXL (oversized) cab...... Best cab I've EVER owned.

One of my friends has one. I've heard it numerous times. It's an ok cab IMO. Next to an older Diezel RL cab and his old beat up Engl it was muddy and lacked definition. They all had V30's and couple of different heads were used so it was a fair comparison. We both came to that conclusion. Not trying to spoil your party. I know you don't want to hear that and the only reason why I'm posting this is because you asked. That said, I don't want to give the wrong impression. It's not a bad sounding cab and you'll get a killer sound with it. I just think the $900 price tag is a bit steep for what you get, but most cabs these days are overpriced anyway so what do I know.

I really liked the XL's with V30's. compared to our guitarist's Bogner Uberkab, it held its own.

Friends of mine ordered a whole van of 4x12 cabs of all brands.

Mesa /Diezel/Engl ... all of them had to go, cause they chose the Randall 4x12 Xl

Mine is great, great tone and the XLR out sounds better than micing. Sounds amazing with my Mark III
