no not me....

I've known about this since NAMM, but was sworn to secrecy until it was announced or videos started popping up, well I found the first video, so that cats outta the bag.....sorry Gary.

He's playing the V2 now, got tired of Peavey, and was looking heavily at NAMM for a new amp, and Ammott turned him onto Randall, he liked them, and they offer foriegn support, so he jumped on it. He seems to be real happy with them too.

Hmm...wonder why he didn't go MTS. I'll bet the guys on the MTS board would cream their jeans for a Holt sig module.

I know he's got an RM100, not sure which modules they sent him, he's had it a couple years, but was endorsing Peavey at the time.... I guess him and Ammott hooked up at NAMM and showed him the V2, he liked it and signed up.

I was talking with him about the MTS stuff for a while, was gonna hook him up with Egnater, as well as Gigmods, and Friedman for modules as well, but he went with the V2 instead. Maybe he'll get time to mess with his RM and switch....who knows.

Deans never appealed to me for some reason. I'm set off to them like I am to Ibanez....

wont happen, he's in Bernie Ricos pocket for guitars.... Brents been TRYING to pursuade him into coming over to Gutierrez, but we can't get him what Bernie can right now. plus he just loves those Ricos. I haven't played one yet, but I'm supposed to hook up with them in May so maybe I'll get a chance to try his out.

every once in a while I'll think a dean V looks cool (not Ammot's - flames are lamer than lame), for the most part though i agree. Don't even get me started on those hideous dimebag guitars.

I love Ibanez though. one of my favorite companies.

well he probably gets some serious discountage with Rico. he's basically their biggest endorser. and I don't think Brent could afford serious discounts. unless of course Gary helps put the brand on the map. bit of problem there I suppose :D

Dean is just one brand of guitars I will not play. Nothing wrong with them, people that work for Dean are nice as hell, but...eh. Dave Mustaine's guitar is OK, but his old ESPs are dead sexy.

I agree I'm not a Dean fan either, well not newer Deans, the old 70's early 80's Deans are AWESOME, but the new ones are just kinda blah.... The imports are just down right aweful. I've had 3 of the 79 series, and they feel and sound dead. just really poor quality.

I really like the gutierrez guitars I've seen, except the flat finishes :aww: I know thats the standard no additional charge finish, its just I don't like flat finishes unless they are black, and I'm paying for a custom, you bet its gonna be Neon Candy Orangerine or similar

and wow, you really must like Mako to have that amp still!

:D The Mako is awesome.... the Marshall is giving it a serious run for its money though.

*see thread below*

haha awesome! to be honest, i love deans so it wouldnt be all tha bad if he did go to dean, but i doubt it. and juggs, try a vendetta, my mate managed to score one for just over £300 as it was an ex birmingham music show one, it plays great, sounds great and the quilt on the top is gorgous. ibanez are too hit and miss for me

So who is it?

If there's a video I can't view it.

I didn't realize Lee also was part of the deal

you know, Hunolt was great - however, with Lee Altus they really got a fantastic replacement
