"Gay" is a slur?

I'm not sure even "queer" is really a slur either "LGBTQ"

Really just about any word can be a slur when matched with the right angry, condescending tone.

I guess the Flintstones were into gay orgies.

Any cultural, ethnic or sexual identity when used as a pejorative can be a slur.

I developed a dislike for cartoons, comic books, fantasy, and super hero stuff early in life so I didn't understand the reference cause I didn't ever watch that show. My old man bought a dumpy lake front home for cheap and remodeled it. For a couple years there was no tv and in the summer we were living outside or in a house with no walls. By the time he put the tv back I was like "this sucks" unless austin city limits was on. So unless we rented a vcr and movies or later when we finally got cable I could watch music videos and other music programs which was cool but I don't have tv even now *shrugs

Suffice it to say gay does not actually mean homosexual. It means happy, merry, excited, etc. like queer actually means strange, weird, odd, etc. Those words were co-opted by homosexuals so it’s hard for me to give a fuck if they now consider it a slur.
