real quick Playing around with the LeTekro trick and a YJM

I just installed reaper 5 minutes ago.

Miked up the YJM with the Bf-2 flanger in front and used an OD3.

Lick is mindless, so don't expect much but I'm diggin reaper!

This definitely fits in the weird mids catagory but it is a shit ton of fun playing the guitar using that tone! I feel like a kid again

Yeah...I was having flashbacks myself listening to it. Thats the TONE that made me want to play back in the 80's!

Ralph no matter what you play through or use , you have the sickest tone in those fingers ! That YJM and BF-2 is thick and Juicy !!

Ok, I'll let the cat out of the bag.... That was not a YJM.
That was actually a Kemper using a parametric EQ to Mimic the BF2 flanger. I wanted to see if anyone would call me on going DIRECT, so in order to get an unbiased opinion I lied about using a YJM.

I just listened and wanted to comment quick before I read the rest of the thread to see what everyone else has to say.

To my ear, that doesn't sound like a YJM at all, or the BF-2. It doesn't have any of the organic chewiness, it doesn't have any of the higher order harmonics causing that smooth conflagration in the upper echelonian structure. The low end doesn't have that spongy sag associated with vacuum tubes tortured into near liquiesence. And the mids sound like doody.
