Real Rookie Question

So I am confused by how Furman rack power conditioners work. I see that most of them have 8 outlets, but than I see them in racks with 10, 12 ,14, etc. units. Are you plugging a surge protector into one of the outlets and running more stuff of it? Is there some other magic at work?

Cool. I just wasn't sure that it would cause voltage issues from having a rack power strip running another power strip.
