Buy any chance, did you get the Guthrie Govan jam on video ?
 
I just did a search on youtube.com for this. I didn't go to NAMM
 
The best part, to me, isn't how melodic his shredding is, but how he seems to be having a great time playing. And he always looks like he having fun playing. That's how it should be.

I normally love Reb, but this tune is going nowhere.

I thought he was more melodic than this. :no:

I agree...granted I couldn't play all the stuff Reb just played...but for Reb...i thought it was very repetitious and one dimensional....I've seen Reb totally rip it up and with more diversity before....his tapping is the smoothest ever though...still an amazing guy with skills galore

Agreed. The guy is a monster and better than I'll ever be. The Headed for a Heartbreak solo should stand the test of time too.

But, that was an annoying vid. :confused: :scared: :aww: :no:
 
Hope i don't sound like a dick but, the only thing i liked was at 1:25 He did at least 1 cool thing with the bar there. Other than that it's the same licks he's been playing since 1989, which i guess is part of his style and that's what fans of his expect to hear. But for a guy who plays for a living and is known for his playing, i thought he would be better. I honestly think that guys on the forum like Gainfreak and Stratboy are a lot better than what i saw on that video.
 
never dug this guys style, but met him briefly this year and was a pretty cool guy.
