Rebel 30 & 4-cable-method

I tried to connect my Axe-Fx with my rebel 30 using the 4-cable-method.
I double-checked the wiring and everything seems to be fine unfortunately the connection failed.
The only sound I hear is an immense annoying reverb-sound.?..
Does anybody uses the 4-cable-method with the Rebel 30 with good results?

I use it, and it works fine, but not with an Axe FX...
Maybe something with the Axe FX settings?

Sounds like you do not have a direct (dry) path setup in the effects that are in the loop. The reverb is in parallel with the loop so, if there is no dry signal passing through all you hear is reverb.
