Rebel 30 effects loop...tube driven or solid state driven???

Hey guys

Anyone know if the if the "send" on effects loop of the Rebel 30 is tube driven or solid state driven? Also, could someone explain to me what "buffered" means when it says buffered FX loop? Sorry for the noob question and any insight would be greatly appreciated.
 
(For what i know of..)It's tube driven (12AX7=V4).The buffer reinforces the signal going through the effects.
